Colcima Coatings makes superior protective coatings for Venetian Plaster and other luxury surfaces. We were hired to develop the brand strategy, messaging and visual identity, and then roll out that out into packaging design and an ecommerce website.

Venetian plaster is made from crushed marble, which is extracted from mountains in Italy. “Cima” means summit in Italian, so we decided to incorporate mountains into the visual identity, using swipes of a trowel to create mountain shapes. These shapes also mirrored the look of Venetian plaster being applied by a craftsman.
